Five Simple Steps to Fresh Skin

Skincare

I love sharing this article from Oprah ... great tips .. can make it as the new year resolution!

The face is a canvas for makeup, and good skincare will keep your canvas in tip-top condition. Laura Mercier suggests five very simple steps for women of all ages to follow religiously in order to keep facial skin smooth and glowing, with or without makeup!

Step 1: Never wear makeup to bed! Having grown up with some women who wore their makeup to bed, Laura has seen the toll it can take on the skin. Good cleansing can clear away a good deal of makeup, but Laura suggests also using a makeup remover especially for the eyes—one that conditions the eye area's delicate skin while removing all traces of makeup.

Step 2: Cleanse thoroughly, morning and night, with a gentle cleanser or cream that doesn’t contain perfumes or harsh artificial additives. By cleansing, you'll eliminate dirt and clear your pores, letting skin breathe.

Step 3: Rinse very well every time you wash your face. Splash, splash, splash the water over your entire face and neck until all remnants of the soap and makeup are down the drain.

Step 4: Use an alcohol-free toner if you have oily skin to gently clear away excess oil and smooth skin. Laura says she "is against anyone using alcohol on their skin to get rid of oil." Alcohol is harsh and dries skin, which then causes oil glands to overcompensate by producing more oil. "Many women don't realize that skin can be oily and dehydrated at the same time," Laura explains. "If you've wiped all the oil away, your skin may appear dry while your oil glands are activating under the skin and ready to compensate for the dryness."

Step 5: Moisturize with an oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer. "I really advise every woman from her 20s and older to moisturize every day," says Laura. "You need to add moisture back into skin because age, pollution, harsh weather and even air conditioning can dry skin. You can find a good quality moisturizer in the mass market without spending a fortune."

Now check out Laura Mercier's customized skincare tips for women in their 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond.

Too Much, Too Little

I was a fan of Bollywood.. well i am still is but not as crazy as before. I love Bollywood movie because of the actors... Hitrik, Abishek, Amir Khan, Salman Khan, John Abraham and Datuk Shahrukh Khan..wow that's weird.. and the actresses.. Aisyawar... oops not sure about the spelling, Pretty Zinta, Juhi, Kajol, Kareena.. ok.. just to name a few... can't remember all but there are beautiful people..

I can sit in front of the TV for 3 hours.. wow!.. even though you will know how the movie will end.. and sometimes its like 'hey i have seen this before'... lol. Anyway i really love Indian culture, music and most of all... the fashion.. lengha, saree, punjap suits.. everything.. i'm so crazy about it.. Most of my design are inspired by Indian fashion.

Its easy to design base on Indian fashion... no need to be less to get sexy.. like this beautiful Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat.... don't get confused.. yup..she look our own Malaysian Star Jaclyn Victor.. a bit here and there.. lets see what she wears.

P.S : Dont hate me for my comment this is just my personal comment.. not for any fashion review, if it is.. its only for my blog!

Okay.. i love this orange colour dress.. simple yet sexy.. the colour just suits our asian colour.

Babe.. i don't really think its suitable for red carpet .. haiya standing near my favorite actor..Jackie Chan..spoiling the Asean Value... cover up will you!

..mmm... showing off ..next time wear panty girl! okay now you know where people get this pic..

Oh dear.. is she out of fashion.. i know she adapt the lengha style and the saree blause.. i know she have the big *#@*#%.. but cover up will you.. it look like saying 'can we go out now, we are out of breath'! by the way.. are they real? ..mmmm..

This is what i called.. too much of showing off with too little on the skin!

Dare To Try These Hairstyle?

Its almost end of the year 2008... soon we will welcome year 2009... wow!.. that was fast.. i remember it was like yesterday.. what the trend for 2009? Whats your style going to be like? let your hair grow long.. curly hair, re bonding, cut it short? Actually its not just style that need to be followed.. but what suits you.. how comfortable are you.

If you managed to have long hair.. well that will be great.. but as for me, i choose to have my hair short.. because of my hair is so thick.. i easily get my migraine.. well just blame it on my hair...whatever.. i need to have a reason.. well yes that is one of my reason.. and having kids who like to pull my hair.. nah..try to pull mummy's hair..

I bought my favorite magazine Women's Weekly (Msia)Dec edition..i saw this advert.. and decided to cut it... this will be my hair style for 2009!

Its either this style... i think the front and the back have the same length but with a curl at the back. Hey you can just use your finger to brush it .. lovely with wet gel..simple and sophisticated!

Or this style..wow this is really short.. i am not sure if i dare to cut my hair this short.. but who knows i might.. this look elegant and sexy!

I need to print this and show it to my hairstylist.. i know a hairdresser either than my mum who can do this. I really need to go to him..errr..her..err..mmm you know what i meant. My mum have been my hairdresser..let her rest first..or i will bring her with me... yup..thats a good idea!

If you have any short hairstyle fashion..do let me know.. i really need a new style for 2009!

Consider Black Dress

I have posted about 'the little black dress' earlier in my blog. I was asked to help my friend at her parent's anniversary last week, she asked us to wear either purple or black, I decided to wear black, I have one black dress but i thought i need to buy another one, just a simple one will do.

My budget will be around RM200, i dont need expensive dress, my style will be simple, body shape, organza maybe.... still thinking. My first search place was in CityMall, i went in one after another boutiques, tried one after another dress... while changing and looking at the mirror once in a while, i look like a teenage girl.. without shape, worse.. when i tried one cute organza dress..guess what.. i look like hyppo!.. husband look at me when i change... i know his look.. its familliar to me... it show 'how long are you going to be here?' ... and he have been hearing me 'nope, nope, not this, not nice, to fit, to small, i look like a hyppo, i look like a cartoon'... i heard my daughter asked 'daddy, why mummy said she look like cartoon?'... I rounded all the boutiques in CityMall... it was like one and a half hour.. and i overheard my husband telling my daughter.. 'haiya shasha, daddy so tired'... okay that remarks meant 'can we go home'!.

Disapppointed i can't find anything... well i just wear my other black dress .. should be okay.. but actually i didnt give up.. the next day.. i went out my my husband during lunch time in Wisma Merdeka.. once i reach the 3rd floor..near familia.. i straight went to the small boutigue.. wah i tell you... there are so many cute, lovely dress... i assure you can get any design you want... i tried a few.. and most of them are totally awesome but i really fall in love with one black dress, the cutting are simple and cute. Guess how much... its less than RM100... taaraaa...

This simple black dress, one string, the black ribbon make it look cute...
Other mummies also wear black.. wow..Helen.. wearing black dress and purple belt..to get her in the theme.. Carol.. she loves covering herself with black.. nice choice with transparent .. covering and showing at the same time!
Last but not least, taaraa..my best friend fele... i know her husband dont want me to post this pic, but i did it anyway.. she look lovely with the hairstyle...by the way..i did the makeup..
