Sabahan in Black and Gold

This is what makes me proud to be Sabahan.  There are various ethnics with beautiful traditional costumes on its own.   I remember wearing kadazan costume when i was younger.. i remember my mummy used to put make up on me.. and i will be competing in a beauty contest.  And i will be the one who hold a bouquet of flower for VIP in any special events.. that was when i was little girl.. maybe i was cute back then.. or nobody volunteer..who know.

Anyway, while i grow older.. i only had a chance wearing the traditional costume when i got married.. only for picture taken.. and that's it.  Early this month, our Department organized our own 'Harvest Festival' or 'Pesta Kaamatan'... and those who celebrate or have their own costume are encourage to wear one.  I just got back to work on that week.. not knowing what happened.. but one of my friend as me to try a Penampang kadazan costume.. walking in between friends wearing costumes.. i can only see.. 'black and gold' with different design.. it is so beautiful.  I was thrill.. when i fit the costume..it fit just nice and i am loving it.

It just interesting that most sabahan costume are 'Black and Gold'... here are  few pictures to share...
